Product Information, Colour Variations & Returns Policy

At The Cultural Edge, a range of our products are handcrafted, artisan-made or produced in small batches. These characteristics are part of what makes each piece unique. Please review the following information carefully before making your purchase.

Product Colours & Appearance

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that our product photographs accurately represent the colour and appearance of each item.

However, actual colours may vary slightly from those displayed on your screen due to factors including:
• Individual screen and device settings
• Lighting conditions during photography
• Differences in photography and image processing
• Natural variations in materials, finishes and dyes
• The handmade or artisan nature of certain products

Slight colour variations are not necessarily considered a product fault or defect.

Handmade & Artisan Products

Many products available through The Cultural Edge are handcrafted or artisan-made. As a result, slight variations in colour, pattern, texture, finish, shape, detailing or dimensions may occur between individual pieces.

These variations are a natural characteristic of handcrafted products and contribute to the individuality of each piece. 

Product Size & Dimensions

Product measurements and dimensions displayed on our website are provided as accurately as possible. 

For handcrafted products, minor variations in size and dimensions may occur.

Customers are encouraged to review all product descriptions, measurements and sizing information carefully before purchasing. 

1. Returns Policy 
• Change-of-mind returns → Store credit only 
• No cash refunds for change of mind
• Return within 14 days
• Item unused/unworn, original packaging/tags
• Customer pays return postage
• Sale/clearance/personalised items excluded
• Faulty/damaged/incorrect items → handled separately in accordance with Australian Consumer Law 

2. Exchanges (Fashion Only)
We offer exchanges on fashion items (apparel only) if you require a different size or received a faulty item.

To be eligible for an exchange:
The request must be made within 7 days of receiving your order.
The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging with tags attached.

Exchanges are only processed once we receive the original item and confirm it meets the criteria.

Please note: We do not offer exchanges for accessories, footwear, homeware, or sale items.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is deemed faulty or incorrect.

To request an exchange, please contact us at support@theculturaledge.com with your order number and exchange request.

3. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or different from the product you ordered, please contact The Cultural Edge as soon as possible and provide your order details and photographs of the item.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
